Turkey month has two holidays baked into the calendar and that will likely have some impact on approvals reported this month, especially since the Thanksgiving holiday usually is a super short week, as people take multiple days off! Looking at where the unofficial metrics stand, as of today, the OGD has issued 30 full approval actions and 7 tentative approval actions for a total of 37 approval actions in the month of November to-date.
If history tells us anything, November is a pretty average month in terms of the FDA approval actions, so I am guessing that we will see total approval numbers in the upper 60s or low 70s when the food coma resolves. However, in November of FY 2019, the OGD pushed out 99 full and 32 tentative approval actions, which was the most in FY 2019. So, you just never know until all the beans are counted!
